Who is it for?

For vehicle, engine and powertrain manufacturers and measurement, testing and approval teams.

Which subjects are addressed?

  • Electric propulsion in category L
  • REESS safety requirements
  • Auxiliary battery and post-crash scope distinctions

No. Batteries mainly used for engine starting, lighting or auxiliary systems are excluded from Part II. The function of the battery in the vehicle matters.
