UN R142 — Installation of tyres on vehicles
After choosing a tyre, examine how it may be used on the vehicle.

UN R142 concerns approval of tyre installation on M-, N- and O-category vehicles. Its scope excludes certain uses incompatible with C1, C2 or C3 tyre characteristics and particular temporary-spare or run-flat operating conditions. Approval of the tyre as a product and its use on a vehicle are separate assessments.
